Who you are contracting with

Meridian Appliance Works, an independent appliance repair company operating in Jacksonville, Florida, and dispatching from Fruit Cove, St. Johns County. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Thermador or BSH Home Appliances, and no agreement with us creates any relationship with them.

Service area

40 miles by road from Fruit Cove. Every distance quoted on this site is drive distance, not a straight line. Work outside that area is declined rather than surcharged.

Hours

Mon–Fri 8am–6pm · Sat 9am–4pm, by appointment. Scheduled appointments only. We do not run a 24-hour or emergency line; messages left outside these hours are answered the next working morning. We do not operate an emergency or 24-hour service and we do not charge an out-of-hours premium, because there are no out-of-hours visits to charge for.

Diagnostic fee

$129 flat diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. The fee is payable for the visit whether or not you go on to approve a repair, and it is credited in full against the repair when you do. It covers one appliance and the fault you reported.

Estimates and approval

A written estimate comes before any part is ordered or fitted. We do not order parts or begin chargeable work on a verbal approval. An estimate holds for thirty days; after that, parts pricing through the BSH Home Appliances distribution channel may have moved and we will re-quote.

If a second fault is found while the first is being repaired, it is quoted separately. We will not fold unapproved work into an approved invoice.

Parts

Genuine OEM parts, ordered through the same BSH distribution channel that serves Thermador, Bosch and Gaggenau. Parts removed from your appliance are disposed of unless you ask, at the time of approval, to keep them.

Access and site conditions

Built-in appliances have to be reached. Where a refrigeration column, a wall oven or a dishwasher must come forward out of the cabinetry, we need clear space in front of it and an adult present who can authorise the work. We will decline to move an appliance where the surrounding cabinetry, flooring or anti-tip fixing makes it unsafe to do so, and we will tell you why.

We do not perform structural, cabinetry, plumbing or electrical alterations. Where the fault is in the supply rather than the appliance — an undersized or shared circuit, for example — we will identify it and hand it to a licensed electrician.

Refrigerant work

EPA Section 608 certified for sealed-system refrigeration work. Sealed-system work is federally regulated and is performed only under that certification. It is a legal permission, not a manufacturer endorsement.

Cancellation

Tell us before the day and there is no charge. Where a technician has already travelled to the address and cannot gain access, the diagnostic fee is payable.

Warranty

90 days labour, 365 days parts, genuine OEM components. The full terms, including what is excluded, are set out on the warranty page and form part of these terms.

Manufacturer names and marks

Thermador, BSH Home Appliances and the names of any other manufacturer used on this site are the property of their respective owners. They are used descriptively, and only to identify the appliances we service. No manufacturer logo, brand typeface or brand colour scheme is used anywhere on this site. Nothing here should be read as a claim of authorisation, certification or endorsement.

Limits

Our liability is limited to the cost of the work performed. We are not liable for consequential loss, including spoiled food, lost trade, or damage arising from an appliance being out of service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida.
